About your retreat facilitators

Sam Squire

Sam Squire is an Indigenous (Nakoda) counsellor and meditation guide. She supports people through one-on-one therapeutic relationships and holding space for community in workshops and meditation, yoga, and pilates classes.

Her spiritual exploration and cultural reconnection have shaped how she relates to life and all of creation – with mindfulness, gratitude, and respect at the forefront. This has led Sam on a path of helping others reconnect with themselves, their sense of spirituality, and their relationship with Creator and all of creation.

Sam was born and raised on Treaty One Territory, Winnipeg Manitoba, and currently lives on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations – Vancouver, British Columbia.

Kaitlin Stephens

Kaitlin was born & raised in Whitehorse, Yukon and lives in Vancouver, BC. Kaitlin completed her Masters of Counselling to become a Registered Clinical Counsellor and works with individuals, couples, and groups.

Kaitlin attends to your experiences and emotions by using a combination of approaches. Her main focus is relational health: to self, to others, and to community. Kaitlin's intention with her clients is to fall in love with life and the SELF again, strengthening their relational connection, uncovering their truth, and being fully expressed.

She works together with her clients in a collaborative way, holding the space to support and assist with untangling experiences and narratives that need to be explored.
